Dad, I miss you. I hope you were pleased with the ceremony. If it had to be, Father Luke, the Army Honor Guard and Ed Poole did a fine tribute. I couldn't have been more pleased with Ed's rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Reports are that what I could share of your story in the obituary and eulogy were well received and I'm sure your pleased that we didn't impose on anyone and I didn't go on to long. Lots of folks came including relatives, neighbors, Moose Lodge friends, the American Legion chapter and work friends sharing our grief. I love you and I know you're happy with Mom.

Mr. Little as we called him was our next door neighbor. He and Eleanor were the kind of neighbors that if you were lucky you would always want to have.

My sisters and I have many good memories regarding Mr. Little. How he rode the bus to and from work everyday when so many people at that time did not. You could set your watch by the time he was on the way to work and home. He also loved to take Eleanor shopping (for hours) and he was content to just sit and wait for her.

He was a kind and loving man that helped my family when ever we needed him. He was always around to assist my mother and father when ever a need would arise.

He was a fixture in the neighborhood that everyone adored.

I will think of him and Mrs. Little often and truly appreciate and miss what good people they were.

I will always remember Uncle Ralph as being easy going, liked to joke and how much he meant to Patty Ann, Sharon, Maureen, and Suzanne and their families.

There are so few left from our country's "Greatest Generation". People such as Mr. Ralph are the reason we continue to live in a free society. Thanks to him for his service and sacrifice for his country.
